FitHub — Privacy Policy

FitHub ("FitHub", "we", "us", or "our") provides a gym membership and fitness app that helps members stay consistent with check-ins, diet, and community features. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to the FitHub mobile app (package com.fithub.gym) and our related web panels.

By creating an account or using FitHub, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

Category	Examples
Account	Name, email address, phone number, and a password (stored only as a secure hash).
Fitness & health profile	Age, gender, height, weight, body measurements (waist, chest, arms), body-fat estimate, fitness goal, activity level, dietary preference and allergies, and your daily routine (wake/sleep/gym times, meals per day).
Photos	Meal photos you take or upload for nutrition analysis, and optional body/progress photos you add to track your transformation (kept private unless you choose to make them public).
Activity data	Gym check-ins/attendance, streaks, rest days, water intake, workouts, reminders and diet logs you create.
Community content	Posts, comments, reactions, and any text, images or videos you choose to share in the community feed.
Referrals	Your referral code and which accounts you referred (to grant referral rewards).

Information collected automatically

• Device push token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send you notifications.
• Device time zone so reminders and streak logic fire at your local time.
• App version and basic technical/log data used to operate and troubleshoot the service.

2. Permissions we request

• Camera & Photos — to take or select meal and progress photos, and to post to the community. Used only when you choose to add a photo.
• Notifications — to send reminders, streak nudges, and messages from your gym.
• Calendar — optional; to add your gym timings to your device calendar so you get reminded. Calendar events are created on your device.
• Alarms (Set alarm) — optional; to create a repeating alarm in your phone's Clock app for your gym time.

You can revoke any of these permissions at any time in your device settings; some features will stop working without them.

3. How we use your information

• Provide core features: attendance/streaks, diet tracking, reminders, progress tracking, and community.
• Calculate your daily calorie and macro targets and generate diet plans.
• Analyze meal photos/descriptions and progress photos to estimate nutrition and give feedback (see AI section).
• Send notifications you've enabled and messages from your gym.
• Operate referrals and any free-trial or Premium access.
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve the app.

4. AI processing

Some optional features ("Premium/AI") use a third-party AI provider (Amazon Web Services – Bedrock, running Anthropic Claude models) to process content you submit — for example, a meal photo or description, or your progress photos and fitness numbers — in order to return nutrition estimates, diet plans, or coaching feedback. Only the content needed for that request is sent. We record usage metrics (such as token counts) to operate and bill the service. We do not use your content to train third-party AI models.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

• Service providers that host and run the app on our behalf: Google Cloud Platform (servers, database, file storage), Google Firebase (push notifications), and Amazon Web Services (AI processing). They may process data only to provide their services to us.
• Your gym: gym administrators can see your membership details, attendance, and fee/membership status to manage your membership, and can send you notifications.
• Other members: content you choose to post publicly (community posts, public progress photos, leaderboard name) is visible to other users.
• Legal: where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data and associated content (profile, photos, logs, posts) from our active systems, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule.

We protect your data with industry-standard measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, access controls, and reputable cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

8. Your rights & choices

• Access & update — view and edit your profile and content in the app.
• Delete content — remove your posts, photos, reminders, and other content at any time.
• Notifications — turn off notifications in the app or your device settings.
• Delete your account & data — see the next section.

10. Children's privacy

FitHub is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International data transfers

We operate using cloud infrastructure that may process and store data in data centres located outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by an in-app notice. Continued use of FitHub after changes means you accept the updated policy.
